Christmas in the Woods

Hi Everyone!

We are SO excited that you will spending Christmas in Colorado with us. This page is a place where you can get information about activities that will available for you to participate in and things that will make the trip more enjoyable for everyone. We're going to have a lot of people and furry critters under one roof so we want to work together to help things run more smoothly and so everyone can have a lot of fun!

Events +Activities

Below you will find a schedule of events and activities that Peter and I plan doing. You are welcome to join in or opt-out of any of these! There are a few things that I will need you to RSVP for ahead of time if you want to go. So I just need a head count for who want to do what. I will make reservations for everything ahead of time and anything you want to participate in you can reimburse us for later. There are candy canes next to the activities I need you to RSVP to. I know it's pretty short notice, but if you could PLEASE try to RSVP by

MONDAY DECEMBER 10TH

I would really really appreciate it!

A Christmas Carol (a Christmas musical/play)

This is the classic Christmas story with Mr. Scrooge and Tiny Tim. It's a big production at the Performing Arts Center Downtown. Tickets are $70. Let me know if you want to go and I'll reserve the seats. Click the link below to check it out.

The Royal Gorge Christmas Train

The Royal Gorge is like the Grand Canyon of Colorado, and there's a Polar Express style train that runs through it and has a dining car where you can eat and have beer flights and such. We got tickets inside the Vista Dome car so it's got really good views of the gorge.

We can go to a late breakfast somewhere and then try to spend some time outside today! Go to the dog park, go sledding (if there's snow), go for a walk in the state park, go up to Mt. Falcon for a walk and for Tay and Stormy's photo-shoot.

Helpful Tips

Please BYOB if there are specific things you know you'd like to drink. We have some wine and spirits, but anything you specifically want we'd appreciate it if you brought it YO-SELF! We have 2 and a half bathrooms at our house so if you could plan on bringing something portable to keep your bathroom stuff in, that will probably be easier for everyone. That way you can take your stuff in and out of the bathroom instead of storing things in there. Hopefully that makes sense! We have a backyard where the animals can play and go potty. There's also a dog park fairly close by, so we can make trips down there to let the critters run free. If there's anything you want to do while your here feel free to let us know and we can add it to the list! Or feel free to also go do your own thing! If you want to bring any games, that'd be fun. We have a few, but not a ton.

Can't Wait to See You!
